Beer Festival 2011 From Thursday 23 June to Sunday 26 June

Throughout this incredibly popular event we will be opening our outside bar and showcasing a selection of 8-10 Real Ales (including a couple of Real Ciders). We will also have special deals on Wine & Pimms for those non-beer drinkers!

Programme of Events:

Thursday 23 – 8pm: Special Foodie/Alcohol-Themed Quiz & a bowl of Chilli

Friday 24 - 8.30pm: 80's Disco with DJ Johnny Saunders from Radio 2's Breakfast Show
Prize for best 80's Fancy Dress (optional)
Chicken-in-a-Basket (80's style!)

Saturday 25 – Noon: Family Fun Day to include Face-Painting (proceeds to Sue Ryder), Bouncy Castle, Table-Tennis, Burgers & Ice-Creams. 7.30pm: Delicious Hog Roast and al fresco Band.

Sunday – 3pm: Grand Boules Tournament, Live Music in the Garden from local artist Alan Garmonsway - a keyboardist in both folk and rock bands, who has rubbed shoulders with the likes of Fairport Convention, Procol Harum, Tremeloes, Show of Hands, Martin Carthy, Nashville Teens and Dave Swarbrick. Utilising blues, ballad, R&B and acoustic styles live gigs feature Alan on keyboard, 12 string guitar and vocals.
7.30pm: Open Mic Night - come and see a range of individual and group performances (or indeed perform - please contact us to confirm a slot)
